Information:   The Housing Choice Vouchers program is a rent subsidy program that assists eligible low-income persons and their families in obtaining affordable, decent, and safe housing by paying a portion of their rent. Eligible applicants locate a unit in the private rental market. Rent must be within the current allowed Payment Standards. The tenant pays between 30% and 40% of their gross income for rent. Participants are required to have an annual inspection. You must live and/or work in El Paso County, Colorado, at the time of application to be eligible to apply for this program.

Information:   The CSHA owns and operates 706 Public Housing units throughout Colorado Springs. These units are offered at subsidized rents (30% of gross income) to eligible families, seniors, and persons with disabilities. Income and rent are reviewed annually. Units are inspected annually as well. Applicants are required to move to one of the units within Colorado Springs when they are offered a unit. You must live and/or work in El Paso County, Colorado, at the time of application to be eligible to apply for this program.

Information:   Franklin Square apartments are for senior and disabled residents. It is in east central portion of Colorado Springs located by Shook’s Run Park. There are 32 units and rent is based on a Flat rent. There are laundry facilities on site as well as off street parking. Participants are required to have an annual inspection. You must live and/or work in El Paso County, Colorado, at the time of application to be eligible to apply for this program.

Information:   Southview Plaza apartments are for senior and or disabled residents. It is in east central portion of Colorado Springs located by Prospect Lake. There are 31 units with a balcony and rent is based on a Flat rent. There are laundry facilities on site as well as off street parking. Participants are required to have an annual inspection. You must live and/or work in El Paso County, Colorado, at the time of application to be eligible to apply for this program.

Information:   Rio Grande Village is one and two-bedroom newly built apartments located close to the downtown area. Rent is based on a sliding scale flat rent as well as full market rate rents. Tenant pays gas and electric and there is off street parking. Each unit has a laundry room with washer dryer hook-ups. Participants are required to have an annual inspection. You must live and/or work in El Paso County, Colorado, at the time of application to be eligible to apply for this program. Applications for this program will be held for six months.

Information:   Kiowa Properties are one bedroom units for eligible applicants. Tenants will pay 30% of their gross income for rent and will be responsible for paying their electric bill. Kiowa Properties are two Victorian houses with a total of ten apartments close to downtown Colorado Springs. There are laundry rooms and off street parking. Participants are required to have an annual inspection.

Information:   Pikes Peak Properties are one bedroom and two bedroom units for eligible families, elderly/disabled applicants. Tenants will pay 30% of their gross income for rent and some apartments are responsible for paying their electric bill depending upon the location. Pikes Peak Properties are located at two different locations and have four apartments per building. They offer off street parking as well as two handicapped accessible units. Participants are required to have an annual inspection.

Information:   Centennial Plaza Apartments are one bedroom apartments for senior and or disabled residents. It is located by downtown Colorado Springs. There are 99 units with a balcony and rent is based on 30% of gross income. There are laundry facilities on site as well as off street parking. Participants are required to have an annual inspection.

Information:   Silverkey Apartments are one bedroom apartments for senior and or disabled residents. It is located in the central portion of Colorado Springs by the Senior Center. There are 33 units and rent is based on 30% of gross income. There are laundry facilities on site as well as off street parking. Participants are required to have an annual inspection.

Information:   MOD Rehab consists of two bedroom apartments located by the south end of downtown. There are only six units in this program. Greccio Housing manages this property and approves all applicants from the program. This will not affect your status on any Colorado Springs Housing Authority waiting lists.
